Sherlock and the Big Bang Theory

Postby Bri » Sun Apr 07, 2013 10:06 am

I want to tie Benedict Cumberbatch to my bed and do extremely naughty things to him; but that's neither here nor there. *chuckles*

Setting my carnal wishes aside, this is really an epic show. I am going to be so mad if they end it after Season 3 (which is apparently a possibility; something the show's producer or director or creator (or something) does is tweets three words related to the three episodes for that season on his Twitter account, and the third word Tweeted this time was "bow", which immediately brings to mind "His Last Bow" from the stories.) It may not happen, but I can't honestly recall any of the other short stories that dealt in some small way with that word. I am however going to be VERY interested to see how they deal with bringing Sherlock back from the "dead". My guess? He had Molly snitch one of the cadavers from her morgue with similar dimensions to his, dressed up the body in similar clothes, and rigged some sort of system that allowed him to control the body from a distance, making it appear to be him jumping to his death when in fact the body was already dead. That would be why he had John standing at a distance so he couldn't possibly see that the body wasn't in fact his, and counted on the fall to conceal any distinguishing marks on his face.

And to segue to another show with geniuses; I'm currently going to start catching up on the Big Bang Theory by buying the first season on iTunes. I've caught several episodes and have realized that this show is right up my alley for amusement, even if some of the terminology goes way over my head. I both love and hate Sheldon, and the other three crack me up. I found a video recently of season 1-5 bloopers on YouTube and found them to be utterly hilarious. In short; WATCH IT.

I too heard rumors about the show ending after the third season, but I also heard rumors that they (The two main actors) are contractually obligated for a total of 4 seasons. I'm really curious about the whole faked death thing, really, really curious. Not gonna lie, your theory sounds the best but...remote control of a corpse is still a stretch I think lol.

As bot BBT: ive wanted to start that from the beginning but haven't had the cash to invest in buying it.

I vote that he was a cyborg, played dead after the fall, and then came back to life after they put him in the morgue.

That would be difficult to do, considering they're supposed to be playing the characters in THIS universe, not a steampunk one.

Although I have to admit, a cyborg Sherlock Holmes story would be freaking AWESOME.

a product of the 1990s.

I think the show as better than its song, but really, the title pretty much tells you exactly what you're getting yourself into.
