1 New Wallpaper
Hey guys! I have not posted for a while, as you can see. I went on vacation and when I got back had sun poisoning and just did not feel up to much.. I am still healing, but feel a lot better, so I made this wallpaper for you. :) I will work on some scans over the next few days too.

Sorry I have not updated in a few days, I have not been feeling well. My site goal today is to get a lot of JQ scans done today (not necessarily edited and uploaded), so that I can get them put away in boxes until I move. As sad as that may be. :o

I got into a little car accident and it kind of threw my whole day off... We are switching to fiberoptics today, so I will try to do some scans and work up screen caps while they are here this morning.

Episode Guide updated
I changed the top image on the Darkest Fathoms and added one mistake. I am sure I will be adding more, I kind of remember there being one later. I will continue and do the rest after I have finished with the darkest fathoms. For now, that episode is my focus. I will continue in order.

I am about to post some updates for the day and get started working on some more screen-caps, but before I do, I want to send a message to someone special. You know who you are. To Answer Your Question.....
I have gotten this question a couple times, so I am going to answer it here for everyone to see.
The question: How do you do your screen-caps?
Alright, so if you are not interested in knowing this, disregard this message. :P
1.) The first thing I do is load the dvd on my computer. I am screencapping from the official dvd of the first half of the first season. I am hoping that other dvds will also come out. *hint, hint* *cough*WB*cough*
2.) The next thing that I do I have already done for the entire episode of The Darkest Fathoms, I did this in one sitting. I slow down the video as slow as I can and constantly hit the image capture button. This way I get every single frame out. To give you an idea of how many jpegs I get out of this: After deleting the credits at the end of The Darkest Fathoms, I had 28099 jpegs.
3.) The next thing that I did was sort the images into categories that will be uploaded. As you can see with the previous update, I have 23 groups so far. The Darkest Fathoms has a total of 37 groups.
4.) Now this is where I am every time I start working on a new group. Since they are already sorted, I am ready to start deleting images that are unnecessary. I do this by sections of images because this makes it a lot easier, so I move the next scene into a folder within that folder. Where there is an obvious stopping point, I leave for the next group.
5.) So basically I am left with something such as Jonny waving down someone. So at the first thing I do is open them up each image at a time and delete duplicate pictures (sometimes they will have the same image multiple times in a row) and transition images.
6.) After that is done, I make sure that there are absolutely no duplicates. I go through each image and compare it to the other images in the group, then I put that into the last folder where it will remain until I am done with the entire section.
7.) Once I do this, I simply rename the files, make a backup of the untagged screencaps and move on to tagging them for upload. Nice and simple.
A lot of people might think this is a bit much and a lot of extra work, but I want to make sure that JQ fans have every single picture they can possibly have. Every frame that is not identical to another frame available to you guys. I know I could do it much more easily by just getting samplings of frames, but that is not good enough for me. :P Besides, I have become really good at this, so I can do it really fast. My fingers and eyes are not slow. :)
And describing that took me 15 minutes. :o
EDIT: I forgot to add.. I only use every different form if the main characters are involved. If it is a view of a boat or something, I tend to just use one picture.

Screen Cap Gallery Updated
I have spent the last couple hours reworking the way the screen cap gallery can switch between pages. Before all it had was "more" buttons at the bottom of the pages that had more to view. This is so much easier to use, so I hope it is better for you! I believe I am going to try to get this gallery completed ASAP so I can screencap the next episode fast.

Past Layouts updated
I have been working on scanning the calender off and on over the past couple days. It is so hard because the calander is so much larger than my scanner, so I have to scan everything in bits and pieces and put it all back together again! But I will have it done for you ASAP.. I am about half done. :) I will try to get it done by tomorrow.
For now I wanted to take a break and quickly post the past layout update. I think I will also make a few more wallpapers over the next couple hours. I need to get my mind off some things and do some fun stuff. :)
Oh and those of you who know me know that our internet has been horrible. We are switching from 30 meg cable internet to fiberoptics on the 9th, so that will be good. :D

Hey there
I am glad to say that the horrible, horrible semester that was Spring 2011 is now over. I will try to get a lot of updates up for you this summer. A few days ago I posted a new layout, and I have a lot more coming.
I finally got my hands on the JQ calender from 1996, so I am in the process of scanning that right now. As well as the last of the comics and other things for you guys. :)

I know how behind I am, and I am so sorry! D: I am behind on so many things right now...
Thank you everyone for your emails and everything, I am okay! Just surviving an annoying school semester. Thanks for your concern though... I will try to get some more things up for you!
So my goal for the next week is to get the rest of the comics scanned so that I can edit them a bit at a time.. I also have some other things to scan and photograph, including a new magazine article. Oh and I need to make another new layout.. a month ago.
I will also attempt to make some new stuff to make things up to you guys... Things will be better this summer, I promise. ^_^ Only uh... 8 more weeks? Something like that. :(
